As a global transportation company, we’re on the move worldwide using all kinds of transport options. And we’ve proven more than once over the past few years with our cycling campaign GWcycles that we can also rack up plenty of miles by bike.
In 2024, the GW community cycled 810,541 kilometers — more than the distance from Earth to the Moon and back — helping our company forests in Nicaragua and Togo grow to 19,000 trees.
In 2025, the success story continued: a total of 1,047,997 kilometers were ridden. Together with our partner CleanHub, that also meant more than 10 tons of plastic were removed from coastal areas and rivers.
In 2026, we’re continuing GWcycles once again — starting in April, with exciting activities!
This year, we’re once again teaming up for cleaner oceans.For every 100,000 kilometers ridden, Gebrüder Weiss—supported by our partner CleanHub—removes one ton of plastic from coastal areas and rivers in Southeast Asia. What else should you know?
